LeaderMetapan delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Santiagueno (2-15) 161-105 in Usultan. Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 128 of its points in the paint compared to Santiagueno 's 76. Metapan forced 23 Santiagueno turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 56 assists comparing to just 28 passes made by Santiagueno 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who helped to win the game recording 55 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) contributed with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 16 assists for the winners. Metapan's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Colombian center John Hernandez (207-1984) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Darius Daniels (183-1997) added 34 points (!!!) in the effort for Santiagueno. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Metapan (15-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Santiagueno lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost.
